About the event
The National Young Farmers Coalition is hosting this workshop for people who have some farming/ranching experience and are looking to understand farm business entity options and the basics of a business plan. Starting or growing a healthy farm business relies on a solid foundation in a business entity that accounts for your relationship between owners, customers, and investors and on a rigorous assessment of where you are and where you’re going with a business plan.
Learn from:
Neil Thapar of the Sustainable Economies Law Center about business entity options and their implications for profits, governance, and labor
Stepheni Norton of the South Bay Small Business Development Center about business planning
San Diego farmers about how they are incorporated (the business entity they operate as) and why
Lunch will be provided as part of your registration.
